What is Wimp 2 Warrior?
Wimp 2 Warrior is a TV series (on Foxtel) where regular people are thrown into a 6-month professional MMA fight camp. At the end of the camp, the top newly formed fighters will step into the cage to fight on a Brace promotion.

Adjustments or ‘manipuluations’ are often used for immediate pain relief and increasing movement. This is especially helpful for MMA athletes that suffer from stiff necks and backs.
Here is an example of a mid back adjustment on three-time UFC champion, Jens Pulver. This was used for mid back pain relief as well as to improve mid back extension (ie. arching back).
Dry needling is a technique commonly used by chiropractors to relieve pain in muscles as well as to reduce muscle tension.
Here is an example of dry needling used on a MMA athlete with tennis elbow (or lateral epicondylopathy). This injury isn’t always from tennis. It can be the result of tight gripping while lifting heavy weights, or closing your fists to throw a punch!
Rehab is an essential part of treatment. It can range from stretches to help improve mobility, or exercises to improve strength.
Here is an example of a rotator cuff exercise. This MMA athlete had shoulder pain due to a high volume of punching. With rehab, we were able to teach her to have better control of her shoulder and continue training without pain.
We use muscle techniques including Active Releases Techniques (A.R.T.) and Trigenics. These techniques help reduce tension and pain in muscle. They also provide immediate increase in mobility, which is especially important for neck, shoulder, and hip injuries.
Here is an example of a muscle release performed on the rotator cuff muscles. This was used to help relieve shoulder pain.
