Having grown up playing sports most of his life, Steve has always had a keen interest in the human body. He began his studies in Canada at the University of Toronto where he completed a Bachelors degree in Physical Health and Education with High Distinction, with a focus on exercise physiology and sport performance. This led him down the path of personal training with GoodLife Fitness, one of Canada’s largest gyms.
While studying in Canada, Steve also played indoor volleyball at an elite level, representing the University of Toronto. However, years of training and competition led to several overuse injuries. Fortunately, chiropractic care combined with rehabilitation exercises helped him return to playing sports at a high level. Inspired by these results, he then completed a Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University.
Steve’s educational background in exercise science and chiropractic provides patients with a unique approach to care that not only helps patients get out of pain, but also return to their daily activities and sport in better form. He uses a variety of techniques including Trigenics, ART, dry needling, Gonstead adjustments, kinesio tape, and rehabilitation exercises. By combining information from chiropractors, osteopaths, and physiotherapists, he strives to provide his patients with the best treatment available.
Steve has also travelled as the team chiropractor in the Australian Volleyball League and was the sports chiropractor for the Wimp 2 Warrior MMA TV Series (on Foxtel).
